Calder Breaks is a service which works with children, young people/young adults who have disabilities.  We are predominantly a short break service and recognise the need for families to find supportive services.  We are proud and happy to demonstrate that we provide an overall service which is highly flexible and responsive to the needs of individuals and their families.

Calder Breaks has been established since 2003 and now supports 30+ individuals and their families.   We believe that by being flexible, responsive and managing our numbers we can continue to foster the positive relationships we have built up over this time.   

We value every one as an individual with rights, choice, independence, privacy and dignity and our services strive to achieve these in our every day work.

We work within the Merseyside area and are usually funded through individuals and families from their Direct Payments or packages agreed with their local authorities.

We are fully insured, have a range of policies and procedures in place and we work within standards appropriate to the services we provide.

Calder Breaks is a registered company and in the process of becoming a Social Enterprise company.
